CheckMyDevice / Our approach

Accessibility statement

The interface is designed toward WCAG 2.2 AA. This is a design and testing target, not independent certification.

Navigation

Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move, Enter or Space to activate, and Escape to leave fullscreen. Visible focus, a skip link and textual result states help navigation. Status does not rely on color alone.

Nonvisual results

Microphone status includes text announcements and numeric levels. Key counts, touch coverage and controller values accompany graphics. Display and audio quality still require sight or hearing, respectively; assistance may be needed for those physical inspections.

Motion and zoom

Reduced-motion preferences remove decorative transitions. Ghosting motion starts only on request and has a pause control. The layout adapts to narrow screens; the keyboard scrolls within its own area.

Known limits

Reserved shortcuts do not always reach a key test. Full-window fallback cannot hide operating-system controls. A comprehensive screen-reader and real-device audit remains on the publisher’s release checklist. Report accessibility issues to Meroemag@gmail.com, including the affected page and assistive technology if you choose.
