Screen uniformity inspection

Use neutral fields and a grid to inspect uneven brightness and tint.

Diagnostic visuals retain their original colors and remain visible. Presentation filters and high contrast apply outside this workspace; device-level filters may still affect your observation.

LOCAL PROCESSING

Inspect medium gray, white and low gray at a normal viewing distance.

How to run this check

Inspect medium gray, white and low gray at a normal viewing distance.

Understand the result

PASS describes a received signal or your recorded observation. WARNING calls for another check. USER REVIEW REQUIRED means a measurement alone cannot decide. An unavailable API or denied permission does not establish hardware failure.

What this cannot tell you

Perceived uniformity depends on room light, viewing angle and display settings.

If something seems wrong

Repeat after warm-up at normal brightness and compare several backgrounds.

Good to know

Is anything uploaded?

Raw diagnostic input and media are processed locally. Standalone results remain in page memory. Guided checks offer optional coarse session recovery for 24 hours; it excludes media and detailed measurements. Hosting and Google Analytics requests still leave your browser. Analytics receives only broad test-usage categories, never these diagnostic contents. See the privacy policy.

Does a pass guarantee my hardware is healthy?

No. It records behavior observed in this browser session. Intermittent faults, internal components and operating-system restrictions need further investigation. See our methodology.
