Your diagnostic media and raw input stay in your browser. The site has no diagnostic upload endpoint or account system. Google Analytics 4 measures site usage separately from local diagnostics.

Camera and microphone

Access starts only after you select Start. Camera frames support a local preview and optional snapshot. Microphone samples support a meter and optional five-second recording. Stop, page exit, hiding the tab, or changing checks releases capture tracks. Cancelling a pending request stops any stream that arrives later. Stop ends capture; it does not remove the permission saved by your browser. Revoke it using the site controls in the address bar.

Input devices

The keyboard surface reads events only while focused. Typed text is not saved in reports. Pointer, touch and controller data support local visualization and aggregate measurements. Raw traces are not transmitted.

Results and downloads

Results remain in this page’s memory, not automatically in localStorage or a database. Unless you explicitly enable guided-session recovery, leaving or reloading clears the session. Optional recovery stores only the selected mode/profile/check IDs, coarse result states, progress and call scenario on this browser for up to 24 hours. It never stores media, raw inputs, measurements or detailed device identifiers. Use Clear saved session to delete it. Expired, corrupt or incompatible data is discarded on the next visit; browser storage can also be cleared through site settings. This recovery data is never uploaded. Downloaded files are under your control. Detailed browser and system context is excluded by default; review it before sharing if you opt in. The random local report ID is not a tracking identifier.

Accessibility preferences

The accessibility panel stores presentation choices locally so they can apply on your next visit. This contains only the twelve settings, with no diagnostic data or identifiers. Reset All removes the saved preferences. If storage is blocked, controls still work for the current page. These preferences are not uploaded or sent to Analytics.

What reaches the host

Ordinary page requests and optional lightweight network timing requests are served through Netlify infrastructure. Hosting providers may process IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, URLs and timing under their own policies. This is separate from diagnostic media. We do not claim that no network traffic leaves your device.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site and product usage and improve the service. Google may process ordinary web measurement information, such as visited pages, interaction timing, browser/device categories and approximate location derived during its service operation. Standard Analytics may use cookies and service-generated identifiers; CheckMyDevice does not add a User-ID or custom persistent visitor identifier.

Our product events contain only approved test names, broad result states, workflow categories, report formats and guide IDs. Search events describe a matched tool, guide or workflow, or no match; they never contain your search text. We do not intentionally send camera feeds, frames or snapshots, microphone audio or recordings, keyboard content, touch or controller traces, measured diagnostic values, report contents or report IDs to Google Analytics.

Normal page views, scrolls and supported link interactions use Google’s Enhanced Measurement. Diagnostic downloads are generated locally and contain no Analytics scripts. Website hosting and Analytics make network requests; this policy does not promise that nothing leaves your device. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Analytics opt-out information.

Advertising and consent controls

This release has no advertising tags. Reserved advertisement positions do not make ad requests. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our Analytics configuration. No cookie consent manager is currently implemented. The integration provides a consent-control interface for a future provider; this is not a claim of consent compliance. Applicable consent controls must be assessed and implemented before any future advertising integration. Blocking Analytics does not prevent diagnostics from working.

Permissions and your choices

Skip any test, stop capture, delete the local sample or close the page. Downloaded files must be deleted using your file manager. Battery and network details are read only when requested and exposed. We do not request location, contacts or Bluetooth scanning. For privacy questions, email Meroemag@gmail.com.
