Device orientation test
Observe browser-reported alpha, beta and gamma orientation angles.
Diagnostic visuals retain their original colors and remain visible. Presentation filters and high contrast apply outside this workspace; device-level filters may still affect your observation.
Start the sensor and gently tilt the device, keeping the page visible.

How to run this check
Start the sensor and gently tilt the device, keeping the page visible.
Understand the result
PASS describes a received signal or your recorded observation. WARNING calls for another check. USER REVIEW REQUIRED means a measurement alone cannot decide. An unavailable API or denied permission does not establish hardware failure.
What this cannot tell you
Angles may combine multiple sensors and reference frames. They are not a calibrated compass heading.
If something seems wrong
Allow motion access where prompted and compare a supported mobile browser.

Is anything uploaded?
Raw diagnostic input and media are processed locally. Standalone results remain in page memory. Guided checks offer optional coarse session recovery for 24 hours; it excludes media and detailed measurements. Hosting and Google Analytics requests still leave your browser. Analytics receives only broad test-usage categories, never these diagnostic contents. See the privacy policy.
Does a pass guarantee my hardware is healthy?
No. It records behavior observed in this browser session. Intermittent faults, internal components and operating-system restrictions need further investigation. See our methodology.
