CheckMyDevice / Practical guides

Check a used laptop before you buy

Ask to test the device in person. Run the guided device check, then inspect what browsers cannot reach.

Screen and inputs

Inspect solid colors, every physical key, clicks, scrolling and touch if available. Work at normal viewing angles. Browser results cannot reveal loose hinges or enclosure damage.

Camera and sound

Preview the camera, record a microphone sample and test each audio channel quietly. Try included headphones and charging connections. Verify expected behavior yourself.

Outside the browser

Keep a bounded record

Download only details you want to share. The report records a session, not ownership, authenticity, motherboard health or future reliability. Investigate unresolved warnings before committing.
